This season’s massive trend is pink, what is more, you no longer have to be five to wear it! Please take heed though we’re not talking tutus here, this colour, most commonly associated with spring , summer and femininity is now to be worn with clout in the form of cosy, rosy outerwear.
Think texture and coverage toughened up with black boots and leather. Marks and Spencer jumped on the band wagon a month ago with their sell-out pink duster coat, this was snapped up by fashionistas and bloggers alike.
For us on a budget opt for the blazer at ASOS Marketplace £42.99
Riding on its coattails the high street was soon to embrace the trend stocking it’s rails with lush, blush winter warmers.
Come on fashionistas, channel your inner Tinkerbell and feel in the pink in one of these perfect, posy delights!
See my selection for all budgets! I particularly like this blazer. Wear with leather mini, flat monk strap shoes and a monotone stripy scarf.
M&S Pink Duster Coat £85.00 & Zara Pale Pink Classic £179.00

Autumn’s here and we’re finally waving goodbye to the heeled, western ankle boot that has dominated the shelves of our fashion retailers for a good few years now. I’ve got to say it’s a sad farewell to this lovely, leg-lengthening stalwart but as we’ve all become heel stomping pavement clomping clones, I feel it is a time for change. So ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the funky monk shoe! Flat of heel and oozing with cutting edge kudos this beautiful, foot tapping wardrobe staple is the next big thing.
Originally created for medieval men of the cloth and then sixties gangsters this double or single strap shoe has now been updated to flatter us ladies with the addition of pointy toes, slimmer fits and funky brass or chrome hardware in a variety of designs. Mark my words fashionistas, with a pair of these on your feet you can recreate many a look. Buckle up the two-tones with leather trousers for a European, classy edge or opt for the ankle boots with opaques and a mini kilt. However you wear your monk shoes say Amen to this fashion 10! Here are a selection of my favourites starting with Jimmy Choo at Net-a-Porter.

Debenhams welcomes MERUMAYA to its beauty floor. This sleek, integrative, effective skincare range comes from one of the beauty industries’ biggest names Maleka Dattu. Malekas’ interest in beauty started from a young age with parents heralding from Zanzibar and Dar-es-salaam she developed a fascination with skincare and makeup and was soon working her way up the well moisturised beauty industry’s ladder. From Clinique and Origins to her most recent time with Lancôme her hard work and striving for success gained her such accolades as Cosmetic Executive Women’s Achiever of the Year in 2006 and she was most recently credited with the launch of Lancôme’s most successful range ever Genefique!
Developing her own range was a natural progression and using all her beauty know-how she launched Merumaya in 2010. This range is a powerhouse of proven ant-aging, active ingredients, with its luxe formulations and beautiful packaging it is sure to be a massive hit.
Merumaya melting cleansing balm has become a beauty must-have with journalists and makeup artists and is included in the fabulous Tease Me Please Me™ Taster Kit (below) which at £24.50 is a snip for a selection of five products. Go down to your local Debenhams and see what the hype is about!
Primark Tartan Dress £15.00
This autumn there is set to be a bit of a punk revival so get ready to sashay your seditionaries a là Vivienne Westwood circa 1977. Adorn your trusty Blondiesque stripy sweater over a tartan skirt or cigarette pants, alternatively sling on last year’s biker jacket with a tartan midi, the combinations are endless from vamped up to dressed down or smart to sloppy channel your inner autumn anarchist. My current favourite is the Primark tartan dress with white collar (pictured left) you mark my words, this item is bang on trend and set to be an autumnal sell out.
Nicole Richie in Two Tone Shoes

World renowned makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has today launched her eponymous collection, ranging from sleekly packaged skincare to feisty, fabulous makeup – believe me there is something for everyone in this collection.
Flame haired Charlotte grew up between bohemian Ibiza and trendy London where with artist father she became immersed in a world of creativity chequered with actors, writers, hippies and the infamous Ibiza clubscene. She has drawn influence from this which has made her work popular with bohemian and rock gals like Beth Ditto and Kate Moss.

What can I say about the cut out dress! Well one thing is for sure it’s not for all of us! If you don’t like a muffin top in your low-rises, then you sure as hell are not going to appreciate two pertinent lumps of flesh protruding from both sides of your fabulous frock!
That aside they are still a massive trend currently sashaying down your nearest catwalk and pounding the New York/Paris and London pavements with prowess on the backs of models/celebs and us fashionistas alike!

Snow in March in London surely not. Our poor weather beaten skins are desperately craving some solar solace as we are left feeling grey, flaky and dried out from central heating, freezing winds and stuffy train carriages. A week away seems a little frivolous for this early in the year so what is one to do??
All is not lost fellow fashionistas! Help is on hand – Hold the page for Les Beiges! Chanel’s wonder power. Super sheer and lightweight it intuitively glides onto the skin leaving it feeling as smooth as silk and glowing with luminosity and health!
Chanel’s beautifully branded compact will be sure to get you noticed when having a quick touch up on the tube. So stick this beauty must have on your payday shopping list and glow in the snow this March!

With the influence of new band First Aid Kit and Fleetwood Mac’s up and coming summer tour we all seem to be embracing a touch of the ethereal.
Whether you want to channel Florence, Stevie Nicks or give it the full on Lizzie Siddal and plunge into a pond clad in nothing but a cheese cloth maxi – that is your funeral (as it nearly was hers according to the history books)!
Personally I prefer just a nod to the trend and what better way than to invest in a piece of jewellery. Here are some offerings from fantastic newby designer outlet Fuit Ilium ♣ Troy is gone at Etsy created by the super talented Mairi Nolan.
